Meeting 2 Opens

The meeting was called to order and the minutes were approved. The President delivered an executive report regarding a judicial review of previous motions. He informed the body that the Court had struck down portions of a previous motion for violating the Alaskan Frontier Act. The Court provided an amended resolution defining the Frontier as properly manifested in Alaska due to a unique balance of economic, political, and natural liberties.

The Congressman moved to admit the Court’s full declaration into the formal record via the forum channels; the motion was adopted. The Justice then moved to adopt the Court's amended resolution. The motion carried, and the President designated the signing as a special order of business.

The President advocated for the adoption of Robert's Rules of Order Newly Revised, 12th Edition to govern congressional procedure. The Justice moved for adoption, which was seconded and carried. Following a recommendation from the Chief Justice to adopt without amendment, the President signed the rules into order. A supplemental rule regarding the yielding of the floor was also adopted, ensuring that the original speaker maintains control of their time allotment.

The Congressman moved to focus efforts on securing jobs in Alaska. The Justice offered an amendment specifying that such jobs must provide maximum leverage and time off to build the base in the Mat-Su. The motion and amendment were adopted. Finally, a definition of Economic Alaskan Freedom was adopted and referred to the Court.

Meeting 3 Opens - Record - January 19th - First Session

The meeting was called to order following a one-hour recess. The President opened a debate regarding the definition of Economic Alaskan Freedom adopted prior to the recess.

The Justice argued for focusing settlement efforts on Anchorage, citing the city's resources and job market as essential to the survival of the home base. The Congressman moved to have the Court investigate the best methods for collective collaboration on economic freedom. During the investigation, the Congressman analyzed the limitations of military service, noting that National Guard or full-time military roles might limit geographic choice or MOS availability, thereby necessitating a focus on civilian employment.

The Congress moved to have the Court continue its investigation into these economic goals. The meeting was subsequently placed in recess.

1st Session of Congress - Meeting 4 - Record

The meeting was called to order, continuing the business of the first session. The President announced that the Court had completed its review of the pending rule and had returned a recommendation regarding the primary resolution.

The main order of business was the consideration of the Frontier of the Republic Resolution, authored and introduced by the Congressman. The resolution serves to recognize natural rights, the duties of elected representatives, and the intent to safeguard the mechanisms of creation through a uniform sense of purpose.

The Congress entered into a section-by-section deliberation of the resolution. Section 1, establishing that the Republic exists in a state of humanity, was adopted. Section 2, which defines the Frontier as properly manifested in Alaska due to its unique balance of political and economic liberty, was adopted after the question was called. Section 3, regarding the exercise of rights through mutual consent, initially failed to reach a majority. However, a motion to reconsider was offered by the Congressman, and upon further debate, Section 3 was adopted.

To facilitate the efficiency of the body, a motion was made to bypass further section-by-section voting and adopt the entirety of the proposal as amended. This motion carried by a majority. The Frontier of the Republic Resolution was then put to a final vote, adopted by the Congress, and signed into order by the President. It is now established as an official rule of the Republic.

Having completed the primary objectives of the session, the President moved to end the meeting and the first session of Congress. Without objection, the meeting was adjourned.
